ALEXANDRAS LATEST EXHIBITION IN NAIROBI WAS HUGELY SUCCESSFUL AND SOLD OUT WITH RAGE REVIEWS. HER LATEST MINIATURE PAINTINGS, CONTRASTING AND EXHIBITED WITH HER USUAL HUGE WORK, HAS BEEN AN INTERESTING BRANCH OUT AND HAS BEEN AN EXPLORATION INTO A NEW LOOSER TECHNIQUE WITH LIQUID OIL AND GOLD/SILVER LEAF.

PRESENTLY EXHIBITING AT "WILDSIDE" GALLERY IN MALINDI, KENYA, ALEXANDRA SPENDS TIME IN AFRICA, VISITING THE SERENGETI MIGRATION AND NGORONGORO CRATER, BOTH TEEMING WITH WILDLIFE AND PROVIDING THE INSPIRATION AND SKETCHES FOR HER NEW AND UPCOMING WORKS.

January 2010: back from Tsavo National Park, 22,000 square kilometres of wilderness and wildlife. I am really happy that the terrible drought of the past two years has broken. Everything is green green and water and butterflies are everywhere. Sketching the animals proved hard in these circumstances as the animals were dispersed and hidden in their new lush environment where water is no longer scarce and bushes, green and large are easy cover.

Back to Serengeti next month for more sketching.
